HeartSine Samaritan PAD AED | Overview
The
HeartSine Samaritan PAD is incredibly easy to use with both visual and
audible instructions that eliminate much of the confusion and
uncertainty that exist in the stressful situations of sudden cardiac
arrest, both for the trained individual and the Samaritan layperson.
The
HeartSine Samaritan is also incredibly small and efficient in both size
and weight, being in fact the smallest and lightest AED on the market.
Not only did they master efficiency in packaging weight, the Samaritan
PAD also has the highest durability rating, allowing it to be used in
some of the most extreme situations and by emergency service providers
constantly on the go.
If
the ease of use, size and durability weren't strong enough selling
points, the HeartSine Samaritan also features one of the lowest cost of
ownership.
The Nitty Gritty of
HeartSine Samaritan PAD | Overview
The HeartSine Samaritan PAD Public Access
Defibrillator is an easy-to-use medical device especially designed for public
access use in the administering of lifesaving treatment for victims of sudden
cardiac arrest.
No complex displays or controls. A flashing
green STATUS light indicates the HeartSine Samaritan is operational and ready
for use.
The HeartSine Samaritan PAD prompts you both
visually and audibly with clear, calm instructions. Starting with Adult
Patient if equipped for adult Pad-Pak, and Child Patient if equipped with
Pediatric-Pak. Other prompts instruct users throughout the rescue process,
while reminding users to call for medical assistance. The system then guides
the user through pad application to shock delivery, if required.
Electrode pads, necessary for every AED, are
contained in an innovative Pad-Pak or Pediatric-Pak which are accessible by
pulling the green tab.
Pads are accessible with the unit in the
storage case, which are supplied with each unit.
The Adult (Gray) Pad-Pak is for patients over
8 years of age and 55 lbs in weight. The Pediatric-Pak (Pink) is for patients 1
- 8 years of age and less than 55 lbs. Both cartridges can be used with the
HeartSine Samaritan PAD (Model 300P).
When electrode pads are applied, the HeartSine
Samaritan automatically assesses the patient to determine if a shock is
required. If not, the unit will prompt the rescuer to begin CPR.
Verbal and visual prompts guide the rescuer
when to touch and when not to touch the patient. If it is determined that a
shock is required, the Shock Button illuminates.
A CPR tone and flashing icon coach the rescuer
in delivering chest compressions according to ERC 2005 guidelines -100
compressions per minute for 2 minute intervals.
HeartSine
Samaritan PAD TRAINER incorporates eight training scenarios. A PAUSE
button allows unlimited time for explanations and enhanced training
without interference. Units are rechargeable, volume adjustable, and can
be programmed in five different languages.
At
AEDs Today, we carry a full range of accessories for any HeartSine
Samaritan AED, including wall mounts, cabinets and wall signs.
