LIFEPAK CR2 AED | The Newest and Most Advanced AED
The LIFEPAK CR2 is the newest AED to arrive and provides the next generation of lifesaving technology and ease of use for any AED program. The number of advanced features within the LIFEPAK CR2 is nothing short of impressive and has significantly raised the bar in terms of what one can expect from an AED.
While the options available for the LIFEPAK CR2 can be overwhelming, we recommend the fully-automatic LIFEPAK CR2 for AED programs that are meant for non-healthcare professionals.
That is, for situations in which a “regular joe” might have to utilize an AED, the fully-automatic LIFEPAK CR2 with the carrying case is the best option in our opinion. The device is by far the easiest AED to use and is designed to prevent user error that may jeopardize a life being saved.
For AED programs that are meant for trained healthcare professionals, we recommend the LIFEPAK CR2 with WIFI capabilities and the carrying case. Regarding semi-automatic or fully-automatic, this is entirely dependent upon the preference of responders.
Some trained healthcare professionals like the control of the semi-automatic, while others prefer the complete ease-of-use of the fully-automatic. For safety managers, the WIFI option enables true ease of use in your AED program regarding maintenance and monthly records.

For example, when the lid of the LIFEPAK CR2 is opened, the device readily turns on and instructs responders through the entirety of delivering the lifesaving therapy to patients.

More advanced features include WIFI connection capabilities. This feature enables your LIFEPAK CR2 to readily alert you should anything appear to affect your AED's readiness via its network connection.
The LIFEPAK CR2 also features Physio-Control’s patented cprINSIGHT™ Technology with the WIFI model. This new enables first responders to administers chest compressions while the LIFEPAK CR2 is conducting its analysis of the patient’s ECG rhythm. This feature helps eliminate pauses that may exist between CPR and defibrillation and is the only AED to do so.

For those unfamiliar with these terms, the semi-automatic requires responders to essentially push a button to activate therapy when instructed.
